About Mary Barley

About Christine Cox

After a fulfilling 20-year career in the nonprofit sector, Christine Cox took a big leap to pursue her greatest passion – helping people achieve the happiest, healthiest version of themselves with sustainable healthy lifestyle changes. She started her own wellness coaching business and earned certifications as an integrative nutrition health coach, yoga instructor, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer. Christine was hired by the Florida Department of Children and Families as Statewide Director of the Office of Employee Well-being to build this brand-new initiative from the ground up. She also served as wellness coordinator for the City of Tallahassee. Now Christine focuses on her work as a health and wellness coach, working with clients one-on-one and in small groups, conducting wellness workshops, and writing her self-help memoir on charting your own path to wellness. She also enjoys teaching yoga throughout the community. Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and master’s degree in mass communications, both from the University of Florida. About April Lovett
April Lovett is the Director of Assessment and Evaluation for the Florida State University College of Nursing. She has nearly 20 years of expertise and leadership in facilitating and implementing wellbeing initiatives, including serving on FSU’s Healthy Campus Committee, leading the efforts to establish FSU as one of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Partnership for Healthier America campuses in 2019, and currently serving as the Chair of FSU’s College of Nursing Health & Wellbeing Committee. Dr. Lovett’s research interests center on employee diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing in organizations. She is an advocate for plant-based eating for a healthier nation and in her spare time likes to garden and discover or create plant-based recipes that mimic traditional fare. She also likes to spend time with her husband and two kids and is adjusting to being a “sports mom” as her kids get older and more involved in sports.
About Leigh Miles

Leigh Miles currently serves as Healthiest Weight Coordinator at the Florida Department of Health in Leon County. She is a Florida native and a Florida State University graduate. Go Noles! Leigh has worked for the Florida Department of Health for several years, in the areas of tobacco prevention, sexual risk avoidance, and community health. She has her hands in a variety of public health programs and projects across Tallahassee. Leigh enjoys her downtime with family and friends, her cat and dog, and creative hobbies like painting, calligraphy, sewing, and leatherworking.
About Mark S. Hicks, Sr.

Mark S. Hicks, Sr. oversees sales and account management at Capital Health Plan, guiding strategies and operations in the employer group and individual marketplace segments. Licensed in Florida for Life, Health & Annuities, he brings over two decades of healthcare industry expertise, alongside a solid decade in association management. His previous roles include Senior Manager of Sales at FBMC Benefits Management, Senior Account Manager at Aetna, and Director of Marketing Operations at Coventry Health Care of Florida.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mark is deeply committed to community service. He actively participates in the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and serves as President of NABIP Capital Area. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for NABIP Florida, and a member of the Big Bend Heart Walk Executive Leadership Committee.
About Heather Fuselier

Heather Fuselier is a National-Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, also holding credentials as a WellCoaches Certified Wellness Coach, Tobacco Treatment Specialist, author, trainer, and employee well-being consultant specializing in helping people live healthy, balanced lives. As a health and fitness enthusiast, she came to professional coaching after years of finding myself in the role of cheerleader for folks seeking greater health through life balance. Now, Heather works professionally with clients to achieve a range of goals including weight reduction and management, stress management, life balance, and tapping into the incredible power of visioning, proper goal-setting, and achieving progress, not perfection.
About Bart Gunter

Bart Gunter is a Principal in HUB/Rogers Gunter Vaughn Insurance of Tallahassee, Florida. As a licensed Life Health and Property/Casualty agent, his clients include municipalities, school districts, non-profits and general commercial business. He is a CIC designate and is certified specialist for the Affordable Care Act. Bart has lectured and provided continuing education courses for numerous statewide Associations. He serves on many community boards and foundations and is a past chairman of the Working Well Board of Directors.
About Cynthia Harris

About Coco McClelland
Coco McClelland is the Health Services and Wellness Coordinator for Leon County Schools. Coco previously served as the Director of Nursing for the FL Department of Health in Leon County. She has worked in Public Health for over 15 years and has over 30 years of administrative and management experience in the medical and education fields. Coco is a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and a graduate of Florida State University. Coco proudly serves on the Florida Association of School Health board and is excited to be joining the Working Well family.
About Heather Mitchell

Heather Mitchell is the Learning and Development Training Manager at Tallahassee State College, where she develops innovative programs to enhance workforce learning and career growth. A retired senior enlisted leader with 22 years of military service, she is passionate about mental wellness, personal resilience, and fostering a culture of continuous growth. She actively promotes well-being through fitness, mindfulness, and professional development, often working out at the campus gym to inspire others. Dedicated to empowering professionals in Gadsden and Leon Counties, she integrates cutting-edge technology with leadership training. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, singing, dancing, and cooking.
About Chuck Moore

A native of Hampton, Va., Moore is a graduate of Christopher Newport University and earned a Masters in Sports Management from American Public University. He’s also the proud father of his son Trey and loves spending time with his rescue pup Charis.
About Christine Morse

Christine Morse is the Fitness Coordinator at Premier Health and Fitness Center, an affiliate of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. She is a Certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine, and has bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Corporate Wellness from Utah State University. Christine represents Premier at community events, and is the Exercise Consultant for the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Metabolic Health Center where she helps patients begin exercise regimens to lose weight successfully. She has been teaching classes and holding one-on-one meetings with patients there for over 5 years. When not working, Christine enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, spending time with family, and is an avid runner who has completed six full marathons.
About Karines Musgrove

Kari Musgrove is an Employee Development Coordinator with MasTec Energy Solutions. Originally from Puerto Rico, she has called Tallahassee home since 1999. Before transitioning to the private sector, she spent 19 years in state and local government, serving the citizens of Florida and Leon County. With over a decade of experience in employee development, Kari specializes in leadership training, helping employees build their people skills, strengthening teams, and cultivating positive, thriving workplace cultures. Outside of work, Kari enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved cats and dogs. She’s an avid reader, a budding writer and podcaster, a dedicated podcast listener, and a sci-fi and fantasy enthusiast who loves exploring nature whenever possible.
About Kimberly Owens

Kimberly Owens is a dedicated leader with over 24 years of experience in the mental health field. She serves as Director of Training and Staff Development at Apalachee Center, Inc., where she leads initiatives to enhance employee skills and well-being. A proud resident of Tallahassee since 1998, Kimberly has a strong commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles, having chaired the company’s wellness committee and initiated several successful wellness events. She is also an active member of the Big Bend Healthcare Coalition Board of Directors and a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Kimberly’s leadership is driven by her passion for supporting individuals on their wellness journeys, creating positive change within organizations, and fostering a healthier community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children, cherishing family moments and supporting their growth.

About Patrick Smith

Dr. Patrick Smith is committed to helping families in our community experience improved health and vitality. His passion is to help people learn to move well, think well and eat well! Dr. Smith graduated from Florida High as Valedictorian in 1993. He received his undergraduate from Florida State University in Biological Sciences. Dr. Smith graduated Cum Laude from Logan Chiropractic of Chiropractic in 1999. Dr. Smith is a constant learner and is always researching the safest, best and most innovative ways to help his patients. Dr. Smith has been providing Wellness Talks for the past 17 years. He speaks regularly for the State and County Offices, Private Businesses, Local Churches and Schools as well as the Police Department. Dr. Smith serves locally on the Board of Directors for Working Well and is also a member of an international non-profit organization of wellness experts called the Wellness Champions. His mission is to empower as many people as possible to experience their optimal health potential through genuine care and education. Dr. Smith lives in Tallahassee with his wife, Kelli and their two sons, Jake and Dylan. Dr. Smith loves God, his family, golf and all things health related.
About Dawn Springs

Dawn Springs is the Community Health Manager for Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. She is a graduate of Florida State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics, and is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Dawn has over 30 years of clinical and administrative experience working in the outpatient diabetes, bariatric, and endocrinology arenas and is passionate about supporting self-management care and education for those with chronic conditions to live well. Outside of work, Dawn is a volunteer leader with state nutrition and diabetes organizations, and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and learning about food and traditions in different cultures.
